Shannon Casares founded Sequoia Structures in 2025. Shannon is a licensed structural engineer in the state of California with 7 years of experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Cornell University in 2017. She continued her studies at Stanford University, earning a Master of Science in Structural Engineering in 2019. Shannon spent the next seven years working for the prestigious design firms Buro Happold and McLaren (now KCI) in New York City. Shannon has worked on an extensive array of building structures and material types. She now focuses on the California market and provides full design and documentation services for your building project.

The revitalization of downtown Detroit is symbolized by the new tower nearing completion on Hudson's Site. The 11 story office and event space with a 6-story atrium shares a basement with the 47 story hotel and residential tower.

Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail

Adaptive re-use of decommissioned monorail line. Project required complex analysis of existing steel sections. Zoo remained operational throughout constuction.
